If you use Google Forms, you have probably noticed that they have rather long and unwieldy URLs. Here are some advantages of using a shorter URL:
- Improved aesthetics: Shortened URLs look better and are easier to read
- Easier sharing: They are more convenient to paste into emails, messages, and website links and buttons
- Reduced risk of errors: Shorter links are less likely to be mistyped, or mis-cut-and-pasted
Here's how:
- Open your Google Form: Go to your Google Forms and open the form you want to share
- Click on the "Send" button: This is usually located in the top-right corner of the form editor
- Choose the "Link" tab: In the "Send via" tab, select the link icon (chain symbol)
- Check the "Shorten URL" box: Click the checkbox next to "Shorten URL"
- Copy the shortened link: Click on the "Copy" button to copy the shortened URL
- Paste the compact URL wherever you want
