How to Add a "Top" Link to a Page

You can easily add a link at the bottom of a long page or article.

  1. Type the word top (or whatever you would like)
  2. Highlight it
  3. Click the editor's link symbol or button
  4. Enter # as the URL (yes, just a pound sign a.k.a. hash symbol)
You can put this anywhere. The # tells the browser to go to the top of the current page (there is no need to insert an anchor at the top of the page).

You can do the same sort of thing with a button. Just use # as the URL.

And, yes, there are all sorts of plug-ins you can use to get fancy floating and/or smooth-scrolling "top" buttons. My advice is don't bother.
